FIFA: The 2026 World Cup video assistant referee system in the United States, Canada, and Mexico will use Chinese display technology.

FIFA recently held a press conference in Zurich, Switzerland, announcing that Chinese company Hisense has become the official partner for the video assistant referee (VAR) display technology at the 2026 World Cup in North America. Hisense's series of products featuring their self-developed RGB three-dimensional color control liquid crystal display technology will be used in the video referee center at this World Cup to enhance the VAR's ability to review match details and make accurate decisions.
