European airlines have warned that they may face a shortage of aviation fuel in the coming weeks due to the impact of the conflict in Iran, disrupting aviation plans before the summer. Compared to other transportation fuels, Europe has a higher dependence on imported aviation fuel, with approximately 75% coming from the Middle East. A draft document shows that starting from next month, the EU Commission will launch a map of oil product refinery capacity distribution covering the entire EU, and take measures to "ensure that existing refinery capacity is fully utilized and maintained."
