According to reports, EU officials have stated that the EU is drafting a plan to address the imminent shortage of aviation fuel supply and maximize refinery output. European airlines have warned that they may face a shortage of aviation fuel in the coming weeks due to the impact of the conflict in Iran, disrupting aviation plans before the summer. Compared to other transportation fuels, Europe has a higher dependence on imported aviation fuel, with approximately 75% coming from the Middle East. A draft document shows that starting from next month, the EU Commission will launch a map of oil product refinery capacity distribution covering the entire EU, and take measures to "ensure that existing refinery capacity is fully utilized and maintained." Officials familiar with the proposal state that the EU is also developing measures for aviation fuel supply, but these measures are still being finalized.
