An Argentine court reopened the trial of the death case of football legend Diego Maradona on the 14th. The San Isidro Court in Buenos Aires Province restarted the investigation and trial of Maradona's death case, with 7 medical personnel charged with involuntary manslaughter. If convicted, they could face sentences ranging from 8 to 25 years in prison. On March 11, 2025, the San Isidro Court held the first trial of Maradona's death case, but it was annulled due to a judge participating in the unauthorized filming of a documentary about the case, which included unauthorized court recordings. According to local media reports, the trial is expected to last at least until July of this year. Maradona passed away suddenly on November 25, 2020, at his residence in Tigre, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, at the age of 60. The autopsy results released by the Argentine police and prosecutors indicated that Maradona died of heart failure, a natural death. However, his relatives believe that Maradona's private doctor should be held responsible.
