Zhejiang Province officially entered the flood season on April 15th, and the flood season work mechanism was already activated at the beginning of this month.
Starting today, Zhejiang Province has officially entered the flood season. According to the Zhejiang Hydrological Management Center's prediction, this year's hydrological situation in Zhejiang is abnormal, with a high possibility of multiple extreme heavy rainfall flood events. The probability of flooding is high in the Yongjiang River, the eastern plain of Hangzhou Bay, the upper and middle reaches of the Qiantang River, the Puyang River, and the Dongtiao Creek.
Currently, the water conservancy system in Zhejiang Province has activated the flood control mechanism on April 1st. Through strengthening work responsibilities, enhancing risk assessment and control, improving emergency response plans, enhancing monitoring and forecasting capabilities, and accelerating the construction of key flood control projects, efforts are being made to ensure that the major rivers and reservoirs do not breach, that urban areas do not experience long-term large-scale flooding, and that no mass casualties occur.
