Western Superconductors announced that its controlling shareholder, Northwest Nonferrous Metal Research Institute, holds 136 million shares of the company, accounting for 20.96%; it plans to reduce its holdings by no more than 6.2368 million shares, or 0.96% of the total share capital, within three months after the announcement for the purpose of strengthening research investment and accelerating the construction of the national advanced rare metal materials technology innovation center. The reduction will be carried out through centralized bidding or block trading from May 11, 2026 to August 11, 2026, with the shares acquired before the IPO and through other means.
