According to a report from the US website "Business Insider" on April 10, the Russian main small arms manufacturer Kalashnikov Group recently announced that it has developed and tested 5.45mm rifle bullets specifically designed to shoot down drones, and plans to advance into large-scale production to enhance individual soldier's ability to combat drones. The report states that this company, known for producing AK-47 rifles, has initiated the technological development for mass production of these bullets. It is explained that the ammunition is compatible with the 30-round magazine of the AK-12 assault rifle, with each bullet releasing "multiple fragment projectiles, significantly increasing the probability of hitting a drone." These bullets support both automatic and single-shot modes, and have been tested against drones in hover mode as well as flying at preset speeds and altitudes.
