Peru makes final ruling on anti-dumping investigation into Chinese steel plates

On April 12, 2026, the Dumping, Subsidies, and Elimination of Non-Tariff Trade Barriers Commission of the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Intellectual Property Protection in Peru published Announcement No. 065-2026/CDB-INDECOPI in the official newspaper "El Peruano", making an affirmative final ruling on the anti-dumping investigation on wire rod originating from China. A five-year anti-dumping duty will be officially imposed on the products involved, with a specific amount of $81.3 per ton for Ansteel Group Corporation, Ansteel Group Hong Kong Limited, Benxi Northern Steel Rolling Co. Ltd., Bengang Group Hong Kong Limited, and other producers/exporters. The products in question are low-carbon and high-carbon non-alloy wire rods with diameters ranging from 5.5 to 16 millimeters and smooth surfaces and cross-sections, falling under the Peruvian tariff numbers 7213.20.00.00, 7213.91.10.00, 7213.91.90, and 7213.99.00.00. These measures will take effect the day after the announcement is published.
