Chuanqi, a Sichuan-based company, has started the first melamine project in Indonesia with an investment of about $600 million.
Recently, the first melamine project invested by Jia Bu Joint Technology Co., Ltd., a holding company of Sichuan Jinxing Sairui Chemical Co., Ltd., was held at the Jinshi Economic Special Zone in East Java Province, Indonesia. This marks a key step for the Sichuan chemical company to "go global". The project has an investment of approximately 6 billion US dollars and aims to build a complete industry chain of "natural gas-ammonia-urea-melamine". The project will be constructed in two phases, with the first phase expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2027. After production, it will have an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 600,000 tons of urea, and 120,000 tons of melamine.
