United States Central Command: According to the President's announcement, the United States Central Command forces will begin to block all ships entering and leaving Iranian ports starting at 10 a.m. Eastern Time on April 13. This blockade will be uniformly enforced for all ships entering and leaving Iranian ports and coastal areas, including all Iranian ports in the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman. The Central Command forces will not interfere with the freedom of navigation of ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz to non-Iranian ports. Prior to the blockade, more information will be provided to merchant ship crews through formal notifications. It is recommended that all sailors closely monitor the "navigational alerts" broadcasts while sailing near the Gulf of Oman and the Strait of Hormuz, and contact the U.S. Navy through channel 16.
