Shenzhen Huaqiangbei is the core distribution center for electronic products in China. At the end of March, a journalist visited a computer store, where the owner explained that in about a year, the price of computer memory has increased fourfold, while sales have plummeted significantly. Monitoring data shows that from January to February this year, online sales of laptops in China fell by 41% compared to the same period last year. A survey by Zhongguancun Online in March showed that DIY computer sales in China have dropped by over 50% compared to November 2025. On March 24th, Google released a new algorithm, TurboQuant, which caused fluctuations in memory market prices. The price of 16GB memory dropped from 800 yuan to 650 yuan. Many people who had previously purchased low-priced or hoarded memory began selling at high prices.
