National Immigration Administration: A total of 185 million entries and exits nationwide in the first quarter.
The National Immigration Administration today reported the main data and work situation of immigration management in the first quarter of 2026. In the first quarter, immigration management agencies nationwide cumulatively inspected a total of 185 million entries and exits, an increase of 13.5% compared to the same period last year; among them, mainland residents accounted for 91.662 million entries and exits, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan residents accounted for 72.491 million entries and exits, representing increases of 14.2% and 10.3% respectively; foreigners accounted for 21.333 million entries and exits, an increase of 22.3% compared to the same period last year, of which visa-free entry foreigners accounted for 8.315 million entries and exits, representing 77.9% of all foreign entries and exits, an increase of 29.3%. A total of 100.98 million transportation modes of entry and exit were inspected, an increase of 18.9% compared to the same period last year; among them, there were 248,000 flights, 27,000 train trips, 113,000 ship voyages, and 970.9 million motor vehicle trips, representing increases of 3.7%, 8%, 6.7%, and 19.5% respectively.
