Xinwang has become Tesla's fifth global power battery supplier.

According to information from multiple industry sources, Xiwanda's subsidiary specializing in power battery business, Xiwanda Power, has entered into Tesla's global supply chain and become Tesla's fifth global power battery supplier. Industry insiders involved in the project revealed that these batteries have been shipped from Xiwanda's factory in Yiwu, Zhejiang, and installed in Tesla vehicles produced at the Shanghai factory and sold overseas. The collaboration between Tesla and Xiwanda for power batteries also adopts a new model, directly purchasing battery cells from Xiwanda and producing modules and packs in-house at Tesla. This is a new experiment for Tesla in square batteries, compared to previous purchases of modules from Ningde Times.
