State Council issues "Several Measures to Accelerate the Construction of Hierarchical Medical System"

The General Office of the State Council announced on April 9th the "Several Measures to Accelerate the Construction of a Graded Diagnosis and Treatment System". The document proposes 13 specific measures, including strengthening the sharing of medical resources within closely-knit medical alliances, enhancing the diagnosis and treatment of common diseases and chronic disease management at the grassroots level, improving the quality and efficiency of family doctor contract services, and facilitating the referral of patients after their first consultation, in order to meet the demand of the public for convenient and timely medical services, and promote the efficient allocation of medical and health service resources.
