Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix shift to three to five-year long-term supply agreement model.

Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are gradually abandoning the one-year short-term contracts signed with global technology giants and instead adopting a pure long-term supply agreement model lasting three to five years. Samsung Electronics has already established a policy to sign new contracts with major customers for at least three years starting from this year. SK Hynix is currently negotiating a five-year general DRAM long-term supply contract with Google. This move aims to establish a stable and high-profit business model through strategic cooperation with customers in the early stages of artificial intelligence memory development.
