The North Korean National Defense Science Academy and Missile Bureau announced the conduct of important weapon system tests.

Journalists learned on the 9th that the North Korean Defense Science Academy and Missile Bureau conducted electromagnetic weapon system tests, carbon fiber simulated bullet scattering tests, operational reliability verification tests for mobile short-range air defense missile systems, tactical ballistic missile cluster warhead operational use and power evaluation tests on April 6th, 7th, and 8th. The North Korean Missile Bureau's Ballistic Missile Systems Research Institute and Combat Unit Research Institute conducted tests to confirm that the tactical ballistic missile "Hwasong-11A" equipped with a cluster warhead can turn any target within a range of 6.5 to 7 hectares into ashes with maximum density firepower. They also conducted test firings to determine the maximum workload of the engine using low-cost materials. The North Korean Missile Bureau stated that the series of tests mentioned above are of significant importance in the development of the armed forces of North Korea, and are regular activities carried out by the North Korean Missile Bureau and its affiliated defense research institutions to continuously develop and update various weapon systems.
