As of April 8th, according to the 2025 annual reports disclosed by 22 A-share listed banks, the net interest margin of most banks has shown a significant narrowing in year-on-year decrease, with some banks even maintaining or increasing their net interest margin. Among the 22 A-share listed banks that have already disclosed their 2025 annual reports, the net interest margin decrease ranges from 0.01 to 0.23 percentage points, showing a narrower decrease compared to previous years. During the reporting period, Minsheng Bank and Pudong Development Bank saw slight increases and stability in their net interest margins. As for regional bank Chongqing Bank, its net interest margin at the end of 2025 was 1.39%, up by 0.04 percentage points year-on-year, making it the bank with the highest increase among those who have disclosed annual reports, leading to a significant increase of over 20% in its net interest income.
