Today, the first 180,000 cubic meters liquefied natural gas carrier independently designed and constructed by China was successfully completed in Nantong, Jiangsu, and reached delivery conditions. The 180,000 cubic meter liquefied natural gas carrier completed today was built by the China Merchants Shipping Hemeng Base, with a total length of 298.8 meters, a beam of 48 meters, and equipped with a dual-fuel low-speed propulsion system, which has the advantages of low evaporation rate and high environmental performance. This marks a major breakthrough for Chinese shipyards in the construction of large clean energy vessels. It is currently the largest liquefied natural gas carrier built and completed in China.
