According to the data from Qichacha, as of April 7, 2026, there are 3920 hydrogen-related companies in China. In terms of regional distribution, the most related companies are located in the East China region, accounting for 34.1%, followed by the North China region, accounting for 20.6%. In terms of patents, there are currently 8328 hydrogen-related patents in China, with the number of related patent applications increasing by 18.8% to 1239 in 2023, making it the year with the largest increase in hydrogen-related patent applications in the past five years. The total number of hydrogen-related patent applications in 2025 reached 1227 for the whole year.
