The Beijing Overseas Chinese Chamber of Commerce issued an obituary on April 7th: With deep sorrow, we inform friends from all sectors of society that Ms. Chen Lihua, the president of the Beijing Overseas Chinese Chamber of Commerce, honorary chairman of the Fu Wah International Group, and director of the China Redwood Museum, passed away in Beijing at 20:50 on April 5, 2026, at the age of 85. President Chen, as the founding president of the Beijing Overseas Chinese Chamber of Commerce, has rallied the overseas Chinese community with a strong sense of responsibility and broad influence, actively building platforms for communication and cooperation at home and abroad; leading the vast number of overseas Chinese to work in Beijing and serve the national overall situation, actively supporting economic and social development; setting an example of social responsibility, leading the Chamber of Commerce to engage in public welfare, charity, and cultural heritage work, fully demonstrating the role of overseas Chinese entrepreneurs and making outstanding contributions to the development of the Beijing Overseas Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
