According to the Wall Street Journal, multiple US officials have revealed that the US military is preparing for possible attacks on Iranian energy facilities. At the same time, Trump has further increased pressure on Tehran to open the Strait of Hormuz. Officials say military planners are pulling up existing potential target lists to provide alternative options for the President to strike energy infrastructure when he makes the decision. Trump recently escalated such threats, saying in an interview on Sunday that if the Iranian regime does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz by Tuesday night, he will destroy all of Iran's power plants. One official said Iran has numerous energy targets related to the military, while another official pointed out that if a certain energy source is used for military purposes (such as providing fuel for mobile rocket launchers), it can be considered a legitimate military target.
