Honduras: Bus and cyanide-carrying trailer collide, at least 10 dead

On the evening of April 5th, local time, a serious traffic accident occurred on CA-4 highway in Kimitn, Santa Brbara province, Honduras. A bus returning from Guatemala collided with a trailer carrying solid granular cyanide. The accident initially resulted in at least 8 fatalities, but as of the morning of April 6th, the death toll has risen to at least 10, with several others injured. The emergency department of Honduras has issued a red alert, established a restricted area within approximately 800 meters of the accident site, and activated alternative routes to continue cleanup and risk management efforts.
