Japanese Mazda has stopped production of cars for export to the Middle East due to the crisis.
According to reports, due to difficulty for cargo ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, Japanese car manufacturer Mazda has halted production of cars destined for export to Middle Eastern countries. Cars destined for Saudi Arabia, Israel, and other Middle Eastern countries are mainly produced at Mazda's factories in Hiroshima and Yamaguchi prefectures, with an annual shipping volume of about 30,000 vehicles. However, due to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, the cars are now unable to be delivered.
