The price of synthetic fibers is skyrocketing, and the war in the Middle East has spread to the textile industry.
The textile industry in our country occupies a leading position globally, and synthetic fibers, as the core raw material of the textile industry, are directly linked to the price of crude oil. Because synthetic fiber products cannot be produced without basic chemical raw materials refined from oil, each round of oil price increases will directly affect the production process of companies. From the overall market perspective, the prices of synthetic fibers have seen varying degrees of increase: for example, one major product category of polyester, polyester filament yarn, rose from around 7180 yuan per ton in March of this year to 9300 yuan per ton; nylon had a weekly increase of over 6% for various types, with some models jumping by 2000 yuan per ton in a single day.
