Russian state atomic energy company evacuates 198 people from Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant
According to Russian media reports on the 4th, the CEO of the Russian state atomic energy company, Lyakhov, said in an interview that after the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran was attacked, the company's employees at the nuclear power plant began to take buses to evacuate to the border between Iran and Armenia, with plans to fly back to Russia from the Armenian capital of Yerevan. The first batch of evacuated personnel totaled 198 people. Lyakhov said that the attack on the 4th occurred in the protected area near the nuclear power plant, resulting in the death of an Iranian citizen. He said that it is still unclear whether this was an accidental or intentional attack, but the situation around the nuclear power plant is developing in the least optimistic direction, and the risk of a nuclear accident is increasing. The Bushehr nuclear power plant is the only operational nuclear power plant in Iran.
