In the New York afternoon on Friday, the euro fell 0.18% against the US dollar to 1.1518, with a cumulative increase of 0.09% for the week, continuing to rise on Tuesday and Wednesday. The pound fell 0.17% against the US dollar to 1.3204, with a cumulative decline of 0.41% for the week, continuing to rise on Tuesday and Wednesday but significantly giving back gains on Thursday. The US dollar rose 0.11% against the Swiss franc to 0.7998. Among commodity currency pairs, the Australian dollar fell 0.22% against the US dollar to 0.6895, with a cumulative increase of 0.30% for the week. The New Zealand dollar fell 0.43% against the US dollar to 0.5691, with a cumulative decline of 0.97% for the week. The US dollar rose 0.19% against the Canadian dollar to 1.3945, with a cumulative increase of 0.37% for the week.
