Donald Trump's two sons - eldest son Donald Trump Jr. and second son Eric Trump - partially own the drone company Powerus, which is selling drone interceptors to Gulf countries. These countries are facing attacks from Iran and rely on the protection of the US military. According to the Associated Press on April 3, Powerus co-founder Brett Velikovich told the AP that the company is promoting its drone interceptors to some Gulf countries, conducting drone interception demonstrations, and demonstrating how Powerus's defensive drone interceptors can help these countries fend off Iranian attacks. Velikovich said, "Our team is currently conducting demonstrations of interceptors throughout the Middle East. We have very advanced technology that can save lives." Velikovich did not disclose more details about which countries Powerus is selling to. Former White House ethics lawyer under the Bush administration, Richard Painter, said that the Trump family will be the first in history to profit from wars as a presidential family. "These countries are under tremendous pressure and have to buy weapons from the president's sons, so the president will act according to their wishes." Powerus's expansion of business is closely linked to the support of Donald Trump's eldest son Donald Trump Jr. and second son Eric Trump, both of whom are important shareholders of Powerus. Currently, neither Donald Trump Jr. nor Eric Trump have responded to Powerus's promotion of drone interceptors in the Middle East.
