The Greater Bay Area University will enroll students from Hong Kong and Macao for the first time.
Recently, the undergraduate enrollment briefing session and campus open day event of the Greater Bay Area University was held at the Songshan Lake campus in Dongguan. The briefing revealed that in 2026, the Greater Bay Area University plans to enroll undergraduate students from five provinces, including Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Hubei, and Henan, as well as the Hong Kong and Macao regions. Among them, Guangdong will enroll 120 students, Guangxi 15 students, Hunan 15 students, Hubei 15 students, Henan 15 students, and the Hong Kong and Macao National Joint Entrance Examination will enroll 10 students, with a total scale of approximately 190 students. All majors require the selection of physics and chemistry, and enroll under the category of "Computer Science and Technology". Upon enrolling, students in their first year will not be divided into majors, and in their second year, they can freely choose from 11 cutting-edge majors including mathematics and applied mathematics, physics, materials science and engineering, future robotics, artificial intelligence, etc., with zero threshold for changing majors.
