Chinese XINKE successfully developed a multi-functional programmable optoelectronic fusion computing chip.
Recently, the National Information Optoelectronics Innovation Center, the National Key Laboratory of Optical Communication Technology and Network, and the Peng Cheng Laboratory jointly developed a multi-functional programmable optoelectronic integrated aperture array system called LightIN. This system is composed of programmable photonic chips, electronic control modules, and a testing-compiling-adjusting intelligent configuration framework, which can achieve various functions such as photon computing acceleration, signal processing, network switching, and security encryption. The related achievements were published in the sub-journal Light: Science & Applications of Nature under issue number 15:165.
