The number of members in the Chinese barcode system has exceeded 640,000, ranking among the top globally for ten consecutive years. This has provided solid support for consolidating China's position as the world's largest trading nation and promoting trade facilitation. The national commodity database has accumulated data on products from 120 countries and regions, totaling over 700 million entries. A large-scale, high-value, and independently controlled core commodity data resource system has been established, reaching a new high in data scale. The China Food Safety Traceability Platform, based on barcode technology, has achieved multi-level, full-chain traceability capabilities from product specifications and batches to individual products. It has provided data query services for over 40 cities nationwide, bridging information exchange between businesses, governments, and consumers, effectively enhancing food safety governance capabilities.
