The quarterly official launch of the central safety production inspection and patrol in 2026 has begun.

According to the news from the Emergency Management Department, in accordance with the arrangements for the 2026 central safety production assessment and inspection, starting from early April, 24 central safety production assessment inspection teams led by relevant members of the State Council Safety Commission will gradually conduct quarterly inspections in key areas. This inspection will focus on typical accidents and major safety incidents that have occurred this year, in order to address issues related to the implementation of safety production responsibilities, the progress of the three-year action to tackle the root causes of safety production, the effectiveness of key tasks in safety production, the full chain rectification of "one thing," and the inspection and rectification of major safety risks in key industries. The inspection will include in-depth examination and rectification of major accident risks, expert guidance services, and investigation of the performance of relevant departments in handling issues. It will also urge and promote solid learning and education on establishing and practicing a correct performance view in each region, coordinate development with safety, effectively improve the quality and effectiveness of risk identification and rectification, promptly eliminate safety hazards, resolutely curb the trend of frequent accidents, and ensure the stability of the safety production situation. Typical cases discovered during the inspection will be investigated and punished according to the law, and responsibilities will be held accountable and publicly exposed.
