The DeFi protocol Drift based on Solana was hacked, according to on-chain data, causing at least $200 million in losses. Some estimates suggest the losses could be closer to $270 million. Drift posted on Twitter, "We have observed abnormal activity in the protocol and are currently investigating. Please do not deposit funds into the protocol during the investigation. This is not an April Fool's joke. Please proceed with caution until further notice." According to the Rekt leaderboard, this attack will be one of the largest on-chain crypto hack events to date, and may be the largest attack in the Solana ecosystem aside from the $326 million stolen from the Wormhole bridge.
