According to Agence France-Presse, the Israeli Ministry of Defense announced on March 31 that Israel will gradually reduce the import of weapons and equipment from France, until such imports are completely stopped. The report stated that this decision by Israel is a retaliation against several hostile actions by France, including recognizing a Palestinian state, excluding Israel from French military exhibitions, and banning Israeli aircraft from flying over French airspace with ammunition for attacks on Iran. Agence France-Presse cited the latest report from the French parliament on military exports, stating that between 2015 and 2024, Israel had purchased approximately $260 million worth of weapons and equipment from French defense companies.
