The explosion at Burundi arsenal has resulted in 13 dead and 57 injured.

Burundi Defense Force spokesperson Gaspar Baratuza said in a press conference on the evening of the 1st that the explosion at a military arsenal in Muyinga province, Burundi on the night of March 31 has resulted in at least 13 deaths and 57 injuries. Baratuza said the explosion occurred at a logistics brigade military arsenal in Mugere County of Muyinga province due to a fire. Among the 57 injured, 3 are military personnel, while the rest are civilians. The explosion also damaged military equipment facilities and nearby residential homes and private vehicles.
