Strengthen the investigation of fire hazards in key places, two departments deploy safety precautions during the Qingming holiday.

The State Council's Work Safety Committee and the Ministry of Emergency Management held a video conference on the morning of April 1st to deploy and ensure the safety precautions before and after the Qingming Festival holiday. The meeting pointed out that the Qingming Festival is approaching, with increased folk sacrifices and spring plowing activities involving fire, increased mass gatherings for mountain outings and travel, and a surge in customer flow at shopping malls, supermarkets, restaurants, accommodations, cultural and entertainment venues. The risks of forest fires, fire safety, traffic safety, and tourism safety are high. All regions and departments should deeply learn from recent accidents, always keep the safety in mind, and fully implement various safety responsibilities. The meeting emphasized the need to thoroughly analyze and assess the safety risks and deficiencies in each region and industry sector, take targeted measures to prevent and respond in a timely manner, strengthen supervision, push for progress, and conduct strict safety production responsibilities at all levels.
