An Italian official said that Prime Minister Meloni's government is considering extending the fuel tax relief measures approved last month to ease the economic impact of the Iran war. The official stated that Meloni is in close communication with Finance Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti to allocate necessary resources and develop relevant technical details. Last month, as part of a package of emergency measures to address soaring energy prices, the Italian government approved a reduction of 0.25 euros per liter in fuel taxes. This temporary measure is set to expire on April 7th.
