Today, reporters learned from the Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau that in order to implement the "Funeral Management Regulations", further enhance the public welfare attributes of the funeral industry, and reduce the burden of funeral expenses on residents, the Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau, in conjunction with relevant departments, has researched and formulated "Several Measures to Further Optimize Funeral Services for the Benefit of the People", and invited public comments from April 1st to 7th. It is reported that the "Several Measures" are divided into four parts: improving funeral welfare policies, regulating funeral service fees, increasing diversified service supply, and strengthening welfare service guarantees, totaling 14 measures. In the "Improving Funeral Welfare Policies" section, the "Several Measures" specify that eligible deceased individuals will receive free services such as body collection, body storage, cremation, ash storage services, ash boxes, ash scattering at sea, natural burials, and burial subsidies for difficult groups; and eligible residents will receive subsidies for burials.
