On March 31, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Science and Technology and the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China jointly organized a roundtable discussion for foreign-funded research and development institutions in Shanghai. Representatives from six foreign-funded research and development institutions, including Novartis, Merck Bio, Siemens Healthineers, DSM Sinochem Pharmaceuticals, GlaxoSmithKline, and Novo Nordisk, attended the meeting along with officials from the relevant departments of the municipal commission and the Shanghai Science and Technology Exchange Center. The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Science and Technology responded to the suggestions and opinions from the enterprises, stating that they will further strengthen communication and exchange with foreign-funded research and development institutions, provide full policy support, enhance innovation synergy, optimize the innovation ecosystem, and assist in the high-quality development of the biopharmaceutical industry in Shanghai.
