Hainan: Starting from April 1st, residents who have been depositing their housing provident fund can apply to withdraw funds to pay for their children's first home purchase.

The Housing Provident Fund Administration of Hainan Province has issued a notice stating that households who have no outstanding housing provident fund loans in our province, and whose children purchase their first home in our province starting from April 1, 2026, can apply to withdraw the housing provident fund for payment of the house purchase. The withdrawal can be made within one year from the date of registration of the purchase contract for a new commercial housing or within one year from the date of obtaining the real estate ownership certificate for a second-hand house. This notice will be implemented from April 1, 2026, and will be valid for two years.
