The revised "Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China" came into effect on March 1. The ninth chapter specifically regulates the promotion of foreign trade, stipulating that "the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) shall, in accordance with its charter, carry out foreign contacts, organize exhibitions, provide information, advisory services, and other activities to promote foreign trade." "This provides a solid legal basis for the CCPIT, the largest national trade and investment promotion agency in China, to conduct its work in accordance with the law and promote the '15th Five-Year' trade promotion work with legal thinking and legal means." Wang Guannan, spokesman for the CCPIT, stated at the regular press conference. In accordance with Article 63 of the newly revised Foreign Trade Law on encouraging traders to explore international markets, the CCPIT will enhance the effectiveness of the "Thousand Groups Going Global" initiative, support enterprises in participating in overseas exhibitions, coordinate the promotion of companies going global and expanding their global industrial layout, and promote more Chinese and foreign companies to become genuine partners, making Chinese opportunities also opportunities for the world. In recent years, as the national trade promotion system continues to advance the "Thousand Groups Going Global" initiative, more and more companies are accelerating their pace of going global. Data shows that by 2025, the CCPIT organized 2,144 groups to visit and negotiate in 92 countries and regions, and the trade promotion systems of Guangdong and Shandong respectively organized 94 and 75 enterprise groups to go abroad.
