Sina Finance reported on March 31st that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and nine other departments recently jointly issued the "Action Plan for Promoting the Innovative Development of the Internet of Things Industry". The Action Plan proposes that within three years, the core industry of the Internet of Things will exceed 3.5 trillion yuan. By 2028, the innovative capabilities of the Internet of Things industry will continue to enhance, with breakthroughs in key technologies such as perception, network and communication, data processing, and security. The level of intelligence of terminals and platforms will significantly improve, with the formulation and revision of more than 50 advanced and applicable standards, the cultivation of 10 billion-level and 15 tens of millions-level application fields for connections, and the target of reaching a scale of billions for terminal connections in the Internet of Things. The Action Plan also proposes accelerating the deep integration of technologies such as artificial intelligence, 5G, human-computer interaction, and edge computing with Internet of Things application terminals to enhance the precise analysis, intelligent decision-making, and convenient interaction capabilities of application terminals. It also aims to strengthen the connectivity of network equipment to meet the communication needs of the Internet of Things like large connections, low latency, anti-interference, and low power consumption. The Action Plan encourages the demand for Internet of Things applications in the consumer sector, accelerates the development of technologies such as intelligent perception and multimodal data fusion, and creates a batch of advanced intelligent entities with autonomous perception, control, and execution capabilities. It will also foster new products, new scenarios, and new models of integrated applications of the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence.
