Samsung will set up a global research center in Japan.

Sina Finance reported on March 31st that, according to an unnamed industry official cited by the South Korean newspaper "Daily Economic News," Samsung Global Research Institute is working to establish an office in Tokyo, which will be its second overseas branch office after Beijing. The center is planned to be completed in the second half of the year and will hire local employees. This move is expected to further accelerate Samsung Group's research work related to Japan, with research areas covering various fields such as the Japanese economy, industry, market, consumers, society, policies, artificial intelligence, and information technology.
