On March 30, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment held its regular press conference. Wang Zhibin, Director of the Science and Finance Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, stated that last year, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, together with relevant departments, jointly issued the "Implementation Opinions on Strengthening Technological Innovation in the Field of Ecological Environment to Promote the Construction of Beautiful China". Since the implementation of the "Opinions", the promotion of relevant tasks can be summarized as three "haves": firstly, key tasks have been effectively refined, breaking down the "Opinions" into specific and executable construction drawings; secondly, major actions have been orderly promoted, focusing on the strategic needs of the country, steadily advancing the established tasks outlined in the "Opinions"; thirdly, there are guarantees for the system mechanism, actively exploring diversified investment mechanisms in the field of ecological environment science and technology, and strengthening cooperation between the central and local governments. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the main focus will be on supporting management and leading the forefront, focusing on standardized efficiency and application conversion, addressing weaknesses and optimizing upgrades, and innovating the entire chain and system in order to further promote technological development in the field of ecological environment.
