Chevron (CVX.N) stated that its Wheatstone natural gas facility in Australia has been damaged by a storm, affecting the restart work of the facility. Over the past week, the tropical cyclone "Narelle" has disrupted the normal operations of mines and liquefied natural gas facilities along the northern and western coasts of Australia. Chevron said in a statement, "The Wheatstone natural gas facility near Onslow has experienced equipment damage due to severe weather, impacting restart work." The company added that it will take "several weeks" for the Wheatstone facility to resume full production.
