The Constitutional Court of the Congo confirms Sassou's re-election as president.

The Constitutional Court of the Republic of the Congo announced on the 28th that the current president, Denis Sassou-Nguesso, won the presidential election held on the 15th, and was re-elected as the President of Congo. According to the final official results confirmed by the Constitutional Court, Sassou received 94.9% of the votes in the election. According to the preliminary results announced by the Ministry of the Interior on the 17th, Sassou received 94.82% of the votes.
