The first severe convective weather warning of the year! Parts of Hunan, Jiangxi, and 6 other provinces/regions may experience thunderstorms, strong winds, or hail.

The China Meteorological Administration issued a blue alert for severe convective weather at 18:00 on March 28th. It is expected that from 20:00 on March 28th to 20:00 on March 29th, some areas in the northeast and south of Hunan, central and western Jiangxi, northern and western Guangxi, northwestern Guangdong, central and southern Yunnan, and southeastern Guizhou will experience thunderstorms with wind gusts of above 8 on the Beaufort scale or hailstorms. In some areas of western and eastern Hunan, western Jiangxi, northwestern Guangxi, northern Guangdong, southern Chongqing, and central and southern Guizhou, there will be short-term heavy rainfall with hourly precipitation exceeding 20 millimeters. It is expected that the main impact of severe convective weather will be tomorrow afternoon to night.
