Hangzhou, Sanya, and Suzhou have been selected for the United Nations' "Cities of Zero Waste" list.
On the 27th, the United Nations Secretary-General's Zero Waste Consultation Committee released the first batch of selected cities for the global "20 Cities Towards Zero Waste" initiative, affirming the efforts made by selected cities in reducing waste, promoting circular economy, and constructing more sustainable and inclusive urban systems. Three cities in China, Hangzhou, Sanya, and Suzhou, have been selected.
