The U.S. Secretary of State says there may be no need to send ground troops to Iran.
On March 27 local time, U.S. Secretary of State Pompeo stated that the United States can still achieve its military objectives in Iran without sending ground troops. Pompeo also stated that military actions against Iran are expected to end at the appropriate time. According to the American news website Axios, Pompeo said at the G7 Foreign Ministers Meeting that the conflict is expected to continue for "two to four weeks".
