The German-Chinese Entrepreneur Business Summit was recently held in Lennep, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. German political and business leaders believe that the Chinese market continues to hold important attraction for German companies, and they look forward to further strengthening practical cooperation between the two sides. Olaf Hope, CEO of the German high-end kitchenware brand Zwilling J.A. Henckels, said that China has become an important market in the global expansion of the company. "Made in Germany" still holds appeal in the Chinese market, and in the long term, the Chinese market will continue to grow. Mirko Schmidt, an official from the Herford region in North Rhine-Westphalia, stated in an interview with reporters that maintaining close cooperation with China is of great significance for the local economic development in Germany. Many local companies have long been deeply involved in the Chinese market, with a solid foundation for cooperation in areas such as mechanical manufacturing and home accessories, leaving ample room for future expansion. Consul General Yu Yong of the Chinese Consulate General in Dusseldorf expressed in his address that China is willing to work together with local governments and business communities in Germany to firmly support trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, maintain stable and smooth global industrial and supply chains, and promote practical cooperation between enterprises in more fields and at deeper levels. The event was organized by the Herford German-Chinese Entrepreneur Association and other institutions. Participants at the summit believe that despite uncertainties in the external environment, the foundation of cooperation between China and Germany is solid, with a continuous increase in willingness to cooperate and vast potential for future development.
