Chongqing launches special action to rectify food safety in online catering industry.

Recently, the Market Supervision Bureau of Chongqing, together with the Public Security Bureau, the Health Commission, and the Commerce Commission, held a city-wide mobilization meeting for a special action to rectify food safety in online catering. It was decided to carry out a special action to rectify food safety in online catering throughout Chongqing. It is reported that this special action will last from March to December, focusing on the prominent issues of concern to the public in the field of online catering. It will target 19 key issues in 4 categories, including illegal qualifications of operators, inadequate information disclosure, lack of implementation of management responsibilities, and non-standard processing operations, aiming to achieve "five effectiveness": effective implementation of platform responsibilities, effective rectification of chaos in the back kitchens of businesses, effective improvement of the quality of employees in the industry, effective crackdown on illegal activities, and effective creation of a social governance atmosphere.
