Ministry of Finance Liao Min Meets with Harvard University Professor Allison.

On March 23, Vice Minister of Finance Liao Min met with Harvard University Professor Allison in Beijing for in-depth discussions on issues such as Sino-US economic and trade relations and regional hot topics. Liao Min stated that under the important consensus of the leaders of China and the United States, the two sides recently held a new round of economic and trade consultations in Paris, reaching some new consensus and will continue to maintain the consultations. Deepening economic and trade cooperation is beneficial for both countries and the world. China is willing to negotiate with the United States to resolve relevant disagreements on the basis of equality, respect, and mutual benefit. Allison expressed that currently, world peace and security are facing serious challenges, and the stability of US-China relations is of great significance to the world. The economic and trade negotiation mechanism has become a key channel between the United States and China, and both sides should continue to maintain close communication to properly handle sensitive issues.
